Serbia and Montenegro: Real Estate Cadastre And Registration Project

WASHINGTON, May 25, 2004—The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board:

CREDIT AMOUNT: US$30 million
TERMS: Grace period =10 years; Maturity = 20 years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will build a more effective property registration and cadastre system, with the intent of contributing to the development of effective real property markets.  The project has two components.  The first  component deals with operational development and support which will allow the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGZ) to speed up completion and maintenance of the real estate cadastre system and deliver quality services to all constituencies.
